Freedom to practice any religion one chooses is a principle tenet of our nation’s founding. It is generally recognized that no one should be refused employment opportunities on the basis of one’s religious beliefs or practices.

Employers also are required to reasonably accommodate an employee’s religious beliefs or practices, except in situations where doing so would cause the employer undue hardship.
